The spark
I loved one app for tracking flights and a different one for booking them, and hated bouncing between the two. No single product owned the whole journey end to end.
What was built
So I built one companion for the entire trip: search and book, then track on an immersive globe with live status and delay predictions, then keep a lifetime travel passport, all rendered as tile-free SVG with no API keys.
Architecture
- Single swappable DataSource adapter (mock → real)
- Self-contained SVG globe, no map tiles or keys
- IP-clean, original design system
