LinkedIn Newsroom

Breaking AI news to an approved post, from my phone

LinkedIn Newsroom by Kshitij Bhatnagar

A personal newsroom that watches AI labs and news sources, rates every story, drafts a LinkedIn post with a designed 4:5 card, and posts only after I tap Approve on my phone.

The spark

Big AI launches move fast, and by the time I had read the news, written a post and made an image, the moment had passed. I wanted to be early without handing my LinkedIn over to a bot.

What was built

I built a pipeline on n8n that polls 57 sources every five minutes, has TypeSafe's Jev model rate each story against four typed questions, and has Claude Opus research and draft the post in my voice with a rendered 1080×1350 card. Each draft arrives as one phone notification with Approve, Edit on Mac and Reject, and only an Approve publishes it through the LinkedIn Posts API with companies tagged automatically.

Architecture

  • Jev rating gate with Claude Haiku fallback, Claude Opus drafts, checker pass on every draft
  • Approval over ntfy, no inbound tunnel
  • Health check restarts n8n on its own if it jams or goes quiet

Highlights

  • 57 sources polled every 5 minutes
  • Stories rated 1 to 10, only 9 and 10 get their own post
  • Up to 6 drafts a day, nightly digest for the rest
  • Nothing posts without my Approve

Built with

  • n8n
  • Python
  • Jev
  • Claude
  • Headless Chrome
  • ntfy
  • LinkedIn API
