A private, local-first memory of my life: a spinnable 3D globe of everywhere I've been, built from wearable transcripts and photo metadata, with a chat that answers anything about my past.
The spark
I realised my memory of where I had been and what I had felt was scattered across photos and a wearable, and quietly slipping away. I wanted to actually see and question my own life.
What was built
I built a private, local-first life graph: a spinnable 3D globe of every place I've been from photo GPS and wearable transcripts, plus a local RAG chat, 'a gen-AI of my life', that answers questions about my past with real memories and photos.
Architecture
- Local-first RAG on Ollama, zero cloud cost
- DataSource seam for wearable + photo metadata
- Photo metadata only (GPS/time), pixels never leave the Mac
